Titre : The role of hypothalamic neurons in obesity’s pathogenesis

Résumé :

The seminar will be split over two stories the lab is working which try to understand how energy excess alters hypothalamic neurons and results in obesity. Using the analogy of « looking for keys under a lamppost » I will talk about changes to agouti related protein (Agrp) neurons which we think drive weight gain. Additionally, to « look beyond the lamppost » we performed some sequencing experiments to try and define cell types transcriptionally altered in obesity.
