On October 30, the IMAGINE Center at CHU Sainte-Justine was inaugurated to study the structure, function, and connectivity of the brain from the neonatal stage to the end of adolescence.
The IMAGINE Center at CHU Sainte-Justine, co-directed by Professors Gregory Lodygensky and Patricia Conrod, is advancing research in neurodevelopment and pediatric precision psychiatry with state-of-the-art brain imaging equipment and high-precision data analysis platforms. This unique facility in Canada enables the study of the brain from childhood to adolescence, examining the impacts of genetics, stress, and environmental factors. It fosters interdisciplinary collaboration to improve clinical practices and early interventions, aiming to better understand and prevent neurodevelopmental and mental health disorders.
This project has been made possible through funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation, with support from the University of Montreal and the Government of Quebec, as well as a transformative five-million-dollar donation from the Lise and Giuseppe Racanelli Foundation via the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation.
