Guillaume Lajoie will be a speaker at the NAISys (From Neuroscience to Artificially Intelligent Systems) 2024 conference

Guillaume Lajoie will be among the speakers at the third Cold Spring Harbor conference on "From Neuroscience to Artificially Intelligent Systems" (NAISys), which will take place from Saturday, September 28 to Wednesday, October 2, 2024. This flagship event begins at 7:30 pm on the first day and concludes with a lunch on the final day. This year, the conference also launches the CSHL NeuroAI Scholars Program, an innovative initiative that integrates AI scientists into CSHL's globally renowned neuroscience labs for a two-year interdisciplinary exchange. For more details, those interested can visit the NeuroAI webpage of CSHL.

The goal of the NAISys conference is to bring together researchers at the intersection of artificial intelligence and neuroscience. Despite the considerable advances in AI recently, natural intelligence remains far more adept at navigating the real world, adapting to changes under significant physical and energetic constraints. The discussions and sessions at the conference will aim to utilize neuroscience insights to spur the development of advanced artificial systems that might one day rival or even surpass human capabilities in certain areas.

Participants are invited to submit abstracts on various scientific topics that explore how neuroscience principles can enhance artificial intelligence. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, network architectures, computing with spiking networks, learning algorithms, active perception, and many other facets of AI influenced by neuroscience.

This conference provides a unique opportunity for professionals and researchers in the fields of AI and neuroscience to share their insights, discover new ideas, and forge potential collaborations.
